MWM chief files petition for contempt of court against Adiala Jail Superintendent

Majlis Wahdat al-Muslimeen (MWM) Chairman Allama Raja Nasir Abbas has filed contempt of court petition against the superintendent of Adiala Jail for not allowing meeting with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder in the Islamabad High Court, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Vice Chairman Allama Syed Ahmed Iqbal Rizvi and In-charge Political Affairs Asad Abbas Shah are also among the petitioners.
The petitioners took plea in the petition that they went to Adiala Jail with court order but the Superintendent did not allow them to meet founder PTI.
When the order of March 8 was shown to the jail authorities, they asked to wait, the text of the petition said.
On March 11th, despite being asked to wait from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm but the meeting was not arranged.
It is stated in the petition that despite showing certified copy of court orders, petitioners were not allowed to meet.
The petitioner requested that contempt of court action should be taken against the jail superintendent for disobeying court orders.
