Pakistan Suzuki Motors has opted to increase the prices of the Suzuki Swift series in response to the recent sales tax adjustments on Tuesday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the Suzuki GLX variant sees a substantial hike of Rs3,04,000, now priced at Rs54,29,000, up from its previous cost of Rs51,25,000.
Suzuki Motors issued a notification confirming the price adjustment and elaborating on the impact of the sales tax hike on their vehicle lineup.
This decision follows the Ministry of Finance's revision in sales tax rates in the country, escalating the tax on vehicles with a value exceeding Rs4 million from 18% to 25%. As a result, the Suzuki Swift GLX experiences a 7% increase in sales tax, contributing to the overall surge in its market value.
