Work-from-home policy 'does not apply to FBR employees'

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced that all its offices, including headquarters and field formations, will remain fully operational, ending the partial work-from-home arrangements before the 50% policy could be implemented.

A notification issued by FBR clarified that the Cabinet Division’s work-from-home policy does not apply to FBR employees. All officers and staff have been directed to maintain regular attendance in their offices, including on Fridays, when offices will continue to remain open.

The notification emphasized that the work-from-home ban is mandatory and will be strictly enforced across all FBR offices. Officials stated that this step aims to ensure uninterrupted tax collection operations and maintain administrative efficiency in both headquarters and field offices.

FBR employees have been instructed to strictly comply with the notification and ensure their presence in offices as per the directive.
