Sugar inquiry commission summons Asad Umar today

Sugar Inquiry Commission summoned Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar today to record his statement.
Federal Minister Asad Umar will appear before the commission today and record his statement regarding recent sugar crisis in the country.

Earlier today, Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar asked the sugar inquiry commission to summon him instead of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
On Friday, PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had said that the decisions taken by the Economic Coordination Committee and federal cabinet led to a hike in prices of sugar across the country.
He was talking to media outside the Federal Investigation Agency’s headquarters, where he had met wheat and sugar crisis inquiry commission head Wajid Zia to record his statement.
