Pakistani social media community has been having an absolute blast over Twitter lately which they are accessing through VPN.
Internet has been suspended throughout Pakistan due to current dire state of affairs taking place across the nation revolving around the arrest of former Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan.
WiFi services however still do seem to work but Twitter and Facebook have been completely suspended whereas social media users have been finding the situation utterly hilarious because they can’t digest how the latest restriction has been implemented without the consideration that the Pakistani population will then just succumb to accessing these platforms through VPN, Here’s what a Twitter user has lately stated: “I find it impossible that when someone gives the order to block social media, there is no one in the room to say “but people will just use VPN.”
According to Google: VPN stands for "Virtual Private Network" and describes the opportunity to establish a protected network connection when using public networks. VPNs encrypt your internet traffic and disguise your online identity. This makes it more difficult for third parties to track your activities online and steal data. The encryption takes place in real time."
Let’s make the matter a bit more understandable: VPN actually allows social media users to access those websites which have been banned or suspended.
Therefore, even though Twitter and Facebook have been completely suspended by the authorities, the decision has made no impact over the general population as people are now accessing these platforms with the assistance of ‘Virtual Private Network’.
We have collected some hilarious reactions that have emerged over Twitter regarding the topic that we are attempting to shed light on, hoping you would also have a blast while going through the very humorous memes, enjoy!
