Suparco has predicted the first Zil-Hajj 1447 AH is likely to be on Monday, May 18 and Eidul Adha is expected to be on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday. 

According to spokesperson of Suparco, the new moon is likely to appear on May 17, 2026 at 1:01 AM. 

The age of the moon on the evening of May 17 is expected to be about 18 hours and 30 minutes. 

A gap of 60 minutes is expected between sunset and moonset in coastal areas. 

The chances of seeing the moon are bright in the event of clear weather and good visibility.

Suparco has shown the possibilities based on astronomical data.

The final announcement regarding the moon of Zil-Hajj will be made by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will give its decision based on reliable evidence.
