Govt decides to convene NA, Senate sessions on Thursday

The government has decided to convene the sessions of the National Assembly and Senate on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Sources informed on Tuesday that Advisor on Parliamentary Affairs Dr Babar Awan held an important meeting with Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaisar. He also called on Prime Minister Imran Khan and consulted on the convening of sessions of both lower and upper houses of the Parliament.
Mr Awan informed that both National Assembly and Senate sessions were convened urgently. He further said that the Senate session would be called at 4pm and the National Assembly session would be held at 5pm on Thursday.
The advisor revealed that important legislation regarding the country’s affairs would be completed during the Parliament sessions.
He said that a summary regarding the convening of sessions had been sent to President Arif Ali for approval by the parliamentary affairs ministry.
