The Saudi Minister for Hajj and Umrah Tuesday made an announcement that people coming on any kind of visa can perform Umrah peacefully and women will be allowed to perform the rite without Mehram as well, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
He said pilgrims from any part of the world can come to the Kingdom to perform their rituals. Dr Tawfiq Al-Rabiyyah said all the government and private sector institutions of Saudia are bringing in the digital system.
The authorities have launched the Nusuk platform to facilitate the intending pilgrims, he said adding that travelers from all over the world can easily organise their visit to the Kingdom, from applying for an eVisa to booking hotels and flights.
The platform provides a wide range of services and information for pilgrims and visitors that enable them to perform their Umrah rituals easily.
