The MDCAT examination date has been deferred to October 26 due to devastating floods across the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

The MDCAT test for admissions in medical colleges will now be held on October 26 instead of October 5.

This was announced by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.

 Earlier, the schedule for Medical and Dental College Test (MDCAT) examination was changed due to the flood situation across the country.

Federal Ministry of Health has released details of the change in the schedule.

According to Ministry of Health, on the instructions of the Health Minister, Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has changed the MDCAT exam schedule.

This decision has been taken in the context of the flood situation in the country.

The decision was taken after consulting the universities of all the provinces, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

The exam was rescheduled due to the difficulties faced by students in the affected areas. 

Earlier this exam was to be held on October 5, 2025 and The MDCAT exam will now be held on October 26, 2025 (Sunday). 

Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal said the decision has been taken in the larger interest of the students.

The government is committed to providing equal educational opportunities to every student in the country, Mustafa Kamal said.
