Former president Asif Ali Zardari has paid homage to the heroes who embraced martyrdom in the fight against terrorism in South Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, 24NewsHD TV channel reported. 

These sons of soil will be remembered forever,  Asif Ali Zardari said as he extended condolence to the family of the martyrs. 

A major and a sepoy embraced martyrdom in a firefight with terrorists in the Waziristan district. According to ISPR, 30-year-old Major Shujaat Hussain from Toba Tek Singh and 27-year-old Sepoy Imran Khan from Naseerabad embraced martyrdom in an exchange of firing with terrorists in the Angoor Adda area of the KP district.
