Most PPP leaders oppose PML-N proposal

The Central Executive Committee of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) opposed the proposal of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) sources said on Monday.

According to the insiders, most of the leaders suggested sitting on the opposition benches.

They were of the view that by sitting in the opposition, the party would get a chance to revive what it suffered from the PDM. Independent candidates be invited to form the government, they added.

The PPP CEC took up the situation after the election. The meeting decided to constitute a committee to initiate contacts with other political parties as per the instructions of party chairman Bilawal Bhutto. It will meet tomorrow again.
