Another cut in petrol and diesel prices proposed

Hopes for more relief to public take grounds as another cut in the prices of petroleum products has been proposed, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday, quoting its sources.
The sources divulged to the TV channel that the petrol price is likely to go down by Rs4.59 per litre. After approval, the petrol price will drop from Rs253.17 to Rs248.58 per litre.
The sources further revealed a decrease of Rs2.70 has been suggested in the price of high speed diesel.
If approved, the diesel price will drop from Rs257.08 to Rs254.38 per litre.
Similarly, the rate of kerosene oil is suggested to be slashed by Rs1.82 per litre.
The government is due to announced the prices of petroleum product on January 15 (Thursday).
