Nepra cut power tariff for lifeline consumers

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has decided to cut electricity tariff by 26paisa per unit, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.
The decrease will be made in fuel adjustment charges in the utility bill of July and just lifeline consumers will be benefit from it, according to a notification.
Consumers who use just 50 units will be benefited from the decision while domestic consumers who has 300 unit consumption and above will be exempted from it.
The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) has made a request to Nepra to bring down the tariff by 12paisa but after hearing on on June 29 the regulatory body decided to cut it to.
