KP budget to be presented today

The annual budget 2022-2023 will be presented in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly today (June 13), 24NewsHD TV channel reported Sunday.
The salaries of government employees will be increased by 15% and the province will get more than Rs 68 billion in the war on terror.
The province will get more than Rs5 trillion from the federation in terms of taxes, 31 billion in oil and gas royalties, 61.90 billion in net profit, and arrears of electricity while foreign aid of Rs 93 billion is also included in the budget, according to the documents.
A sum of Rs 375 billion is proposed for development, Rs36 billion will be spent in the tribal districts and it is proposed to set aside Rs99 billion for the tribal districts.
A total of Rs94 billion has been allocated for ongoing projects, while 242 science and IT labs to be set up in government schools, and scholarships will be given to the best-performing students from class I to VIII in tribal districts while primary health centers and civil hospitals to be restored
Pathology labs are to be set up at the divisional level in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and modern dairy farms will be set up in tribal and settled districts.
A road spanning 61 km will be constructed from Barang to Swat and small dams in tribal districts are also on the cards.
Bone marrow transplant center to be set up at Khyber Medical University Hayatabad. According to the budget documents, an amount of Rs440 billion will be spent on the salaries of government employees while an amount of Rs105 billion will be spent on pensions of retired employees.
