All public and private schools in seven big cities of Punjab will remain closed from March 15 to March 28 due to another surge in coronavirus cases in the province. 

This time the closure of schools however has been named as Spring Break. Against this backdrop, the District Education Authority of Lahore has formed committees to have the closure orders implemented in letter and spirit. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Education Pervez Akhtar Khan has said that strict action will be taken if any school is found open during the Spring Break in violation of the government orders. 

Pervez said that members of every committee will visit their designated areas and all district education officers will submit certificates of closure of schools in their districts to the District Education Authority. He said that no one would be allowed to open schools in violation of the closure orders.
