Snapchat goes down in major outage

Popular social media app Snapchat appears to have stopped working, preventing users from accessing the app or sending messages.

Website and app monitor Down Detector registered tens of thousands of reports from Snapchat users on Wednesday.

Users also complained across social media of issues with Snapchat.

Snapchat Support also took to Twitter to acknowledge the problem.

“We’re aware that some Snapchatters are having issues using the app right now - hang tight, we’re looking into it!”

Latter, Snapchat Support claimed the issue has been resolved but many people still reporting that the problem still persists.

Many users are claiming all their contacts and saved data has vanished while many are claiming their accounts have been kicked out from the app.
