According to the figures released about the sale of cars in the country, 200 percent more cars were sold in March 2021 than during the same period in the preceding year, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday. 

The statistics say that contrary to 6,986 cars sold in March 2020, 20801 cars of different companies were sold in March 2021. 

They further tell us that 37 percent increase has been registered in the sale of cars in the first nine months of the ongoing financial year as 1, 34, 522 cars have been sold during the period under review.   

Contrary to that, 98, 425 cars were sold during the same period in the preceding year. 

Similarly, 70 percent increase in the sale of motorcycles was witnessed in March 2021 compared with March 2020 as 1,70,350 motorcycles were sold compared with 1, 362 during the same period in the last year.  

Likewise, the sale of motorcycles is 22 percent up during the first nine months of the current financial year as 14,38,194 bikes were sold during the period while during the same period in the preceding year 11,81,621 bikes were sold.
