Tricky consumers in trouble; LESCO orders to disconnect more than one meter

Following the decision of the federal government, Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) Tuesday issued orders to disconnect the additional users using multiple power connections.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, LESCO has been ordered to cut off more than one meter that is being installed violating the laws.

Sources said that hundreds of thousands of LESCO users have more than one connection at home.

Consumers opted for more connections based on lower unit usage due to rising electricity prices.

LESCO has also been ordered to take departmental action against the officers who approved the additional connections that are contrary to the rules and regulations.
