Two extortionists arrested in raid on Qadri House in Karachi

Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) raided Qadri House and arrested two extortionists while more than a dozen people were taken into custody for investigation, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SP) said that both accused belonged to the Samad Kathiawari group. Police also recovered arms during the raid.

Earlier, Sarwat Ijaz Qadri, a central leader of the Pakistan Sunni Tehreek, was released by the police, party sources confirmed.

According to Tayyab Qadri, Sarwat Ijaz Qadri is on his way home following his release. The circumstances leading to his detention have not yet been disclosed.

The Pakistan Sunni Tehreek has announced that it will hold an emergency press conference later today to address the matter and provide further details regarding the release of their leader.
