Freight train derails near Shorkot

A bogie of freight train which was en route to Khanewal from Shaheenabad was derailed at Shorkot Cantonment Railway Station, but escaped a major disaster on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
Due to the derailment, Pakistan Express which was destined for Rawalpindi was stopped at Abdul Hakeem Railway Station.
Passengers of Millat Express and Pakistan Express were facing lot of difficulties due to train’s derailment.
Later, officials of Pakistan Railways said that repair work of the railway track is already underway and rail traffic will be restored soon.
