The doctors in Services Hospital Friday resorted to wicked tactics as they tried to hide their negligence by claiming a patient, who came to the Services Hospital on his own and died later when no doctor attended him, was dead upon his arrival, 24NEWSHD TV, reported Friday.

Hamid, 30, a resident of Samanabad Lahore was rushed to hospital with kidney problems. The patient waited for an hour in the emergency ward but no doctor came to treat him and subsequently he lost his life.

The hospital management wrote on the death certificate to hide their negligence that Hamid was brought to the hospital in a dead condition.

In the emergency room of Services Hospital, the family members tortured the doctors and staff over the alleged death of the patient.

On the other hand, the family of the deceased alleged that the patient came to the hospital on his own and was not treated and later was declared as received dead by the hospital.

They alleged that security guards tortured the attendant with the patient for half-hour in a room when he protested the negligence of the doctors.

The family members blocked the jail road and protested while the doctors closed the emergency room. Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar took notice of the incident. The hospital management formed a four-member inquiry committee.

According to the CCTV footage record, Hamid came to the hospital on his own feet at 5:52pm when the first of his admittance card was released. However, it was a time of shift change and Hamid remained without treatment for an hour. Later, the second shift issued a new admittance card of Hamid and declared him as received-dead in the death certificate.

The security guards also tortured the attendant of the patient in a room for half an hour. Later, upon the arrival of other family members a fight broke out between doctors and relatives of the patient.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar took notice of the incident and demanded a report from the Department of Specialized Healthcare within 24 hours. The hospital administration also filed a petition in the police station racecourse against torturing the doctors.
