Punjab CM Naqvi orders improving security at hospitals

Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi on Wednesday ordered improving security at hospitals, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Chairing a meeting in Lahore held to review facilities being offered at hospitals, he directed the concerned officials to keep fans, air-conditioners and water coolers functional round the clock.  

He also ordered improving the state of cleanliness at hospitals.

The chief minister said that improvements would be made in the Universal Health Insurance Programme to facilitate the people belonging to low-income groups.

The meeting decided to rebuild and restore dispensaries in five cities of the province, including Lahore.

The meeting was told that 100 ambulances had already been provided to hospitals for private and secondary health, while 112 more would be given.

It was informed that treatment facilities being provided at rural hospitals were being monitored through digital system, and that the target set for improvement in services being offered at 119 rural health centers in Punjab would be met soon.     

Similarly, the meeting was briefed that three-coloured bed sheets had been provided to district and tehsil headquarters hospitals, while disposable sheets had been provided to emergency wards.
