Rangers and police thwarted a terror bid in the Sindh capital, Karachi, in a joint operation on Saturday.

A police spokesperson said three suspected terrorists were arrested and recovered a huge quantity of arms and amination from them. The arrested were reportedly involved in attacking security forces

A spokesman for Rangers said that the three terrorists were part of outlawed terrorist organisations, ISIS and TTP.

Reportedly, the arrested have recently reached Karachi from Afghanistan and were planning to launch terrorist acts when security forces raided their hideout in the Ittihad Town area and nabbed them.

The Rangers official said that they were allegedly involved in attacking security forces in Bajaur during 2008, besides also launching attacks in 2012-13.
