MP foil robbery bid with Customs officials near Faisalabad

Motorway Police (MP) have foiled the attempt to rob the Pakistan Customs officials near Faisalabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

Sources in MP told 24News that some armed men snatched a non-custom paid trailer from the Customs personnel which the latter had seized a few days back and were on their way when the MP personnel started chasing them near Aminpur Interchange and had an exchange of fire with them near Charaghabad Interchange following which the robbers left the trailer on the motorway and fled from the spot.    

The MP personnel impounded the heavy vehicle and later handed it over to the Customs officials at a ceremony, which was also attended by local police officials.
