The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday ordered the superintendent Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi to arrange a meeting of four lawyers of the former prime minister and ex-PTI chairman Imran Khan with him today, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The court also made it clear to the superintendent that non-compliance with the order would invite contempt of court proceedings.

Speaking on the occasion, the advocate general, Punjab prayed to the court to make it binding on these lawyers that they would restrict themselves only to the cases the former prime minister was facing, and would not discuss with him any political matter.

The court asked the AG not to go into details, and ordered the superintendent to arrange Imran’s meeting with his lawyers today.

The superintendent said that as far his information was concerned, decision in the intra-court appeal was still awaited.

Naeem Haider Panjutha, on the occasion, requested the court to order the inclusion of his name on the list of lawyers as well.

The superintendent said that was the reason different people entered the jail to meet the ex-PTI chairman. “Everybody says he wants to meet the former prime minister,” he added.

The court, however, ordered him to let the lawyers, whose names were on the list, meet Imran.
