Polling in the much-awaited Senate by-elections has started, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) was the first to cast his vote. The voting began at five minutes past nine, and will continue until 4:00 in the evening.   

Out of six seats for which by-polls are being held, three belong to Balochistan, two to Sindh, and one to Islamabad.
