In another case of honour-killing in Pakistan, a man Friday killed his daughter and her groom over love marriage.

According to the 24NewsHD TV Channel, the victims belonged to a village Kot Alam Din of Nankana Sahab district.

The unfortunate daughter got married to a native boy some days ago and tried to get her father's blessings in connection with the pleasant eve of Eidul Fitr.

But the father annoyed with them for running away from the house and dishonouring him before the relatives and the whole village murdered them.

After taking both the dead bodies of wife and husband into custody, Mandi Faizabad police station had started investigations without any arrest until filing this report.

As per reports of the Human Rights Watch and other independent sources, almost 1,000 women were murdered in Pakistan in the name of honour each year.

Despite recent legal reforms in Pakistan to stop honour killing, unfortunately, it is still continuing in the country as a common practice in society.
