Security beefed up at Imran Khan’s house in Lahore

The security has been beefed up at the residence of PTI Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan in Lahore with bullet-proof glasses being installed on the windows of the house, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The bullet-proof glasses were also attached to the windows of Imran Khan’s bedroom at his Zaman Park residence, sources said.

Imran Khan is expected to virtually address the participants of the Freedom March at 5:00 pm today.

Extraordinary security measures 

The Punjab administration has taken extraordinary security measures for the protection of PTI Chief Imran Khan. 

Before offering food to the PTI chief, the rescue teams will check it. A 10-foot high anti-blast moveable wall has been erected round his residence. 

As many as 584 officers and security guards have been appointed on his security duty. Besides this, 18 quick response teams will be deployed which will do their duty in three shifts. A razor wire has been attached to the surrounding walls. 

Police sources said that on six different roads leading to Imran’s residence, zigzag barriers have been erected to control speed of approaching vehicles.  The administration has increased the number of small posts and pickets for observation. 

Sources said that a road leading to Imran’s house from Canal has been sealed.

The Lahore police briefed Punjab Chief Minister Ch Pervaiz Elahi regarding Imran’s security measures. 

Doctors change Imran’s dressing 

Meanwhile, a footage showing doctors were changing Imran Khan’s dressing appeared on the media. 

It could be seen in the footage that the doctors of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital examined Imran’s wounds and then changed his dressing. 

Sources said that Imran’s bullet wounds which he received on his legs during a gun attack on him in Wazirabad have started healing now.
