Pakistan has registered another 62 coronavirus infections and no fatality during the last 24 hours (Thursday), showed the figures released by the National Institute of Health (NIH) on Friday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The death toll in the country remained the same at 30,620 while the number of total infections now rose to 1,573,283 after adding the fresh 62 cases.

During the last 24 hours (Thursday), 11,779 tests were conducted throughout Pakistan whereas the positivity ratio stood at 0.53 percent. The number of patients in critical care was recorded at 30.

US Health Secretary Xavier Becerra announced on October 13 that the extension would be valid until January 11, 2023. Becerra’s statement says that “a public health emergency exists and has existed since January 27, 2020, nationwide".
