First Anti-Woman Harassment Cell activated in Lahore DHA Police Station

Lahore police Tuesday constituted its first-ever Anti-Woman Harassment Cell for Women in the Defense B Police Station, 24News HD TV channel reported.
The activated the cell following the increasing incidents of harassment against women in the city like the Greater Iqbal Park tragedy.
The Lahore Capital City Police Officer Ghulam Mehmood Dogar inaugurated the cell Anti-Women Harassment Cell at Defense B Police Station.
The police cell would register the complaint promptly and take the action against the crime within the next 15 minutes.
A unit of female police officers as the Victim Support Officer would perform their duties in the cell and remain in contact with the victim or the complainant constantly.
The second anti-harassment cell of Lahore police would be set up in the Gulberg police station and later, its scope would be extended to the entire city.
