A young woman died unattended in the gynae ward of the DHQ Hospital, Jhelum due to alleged negligence of a lady doctor, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

Sources informed that a 20-year-old woman came to the gynea ward of the DHQ Hospital who developed medical complications after giving birth at home. But she received no immediate treatment at the ward. 

The deceased woman’s relatives alleged that she was suffering from intense pain at the hospital for almost two hours but the heartless lady doctor did not care to check her as the latter was having meal with her guests. 

After the death of the woman, her relatives staged a protest in the hospital. They said that the patient was in extreme agony but no one at the hospital attended her. 

DMS Dr Sana said that the girl gave birth at home and when her delivery procedure got awry and she developed complications, the relatives brought her to the hospital.

She vowed to take action against the hospital staff responsible for her death after conducting an inquiry.
