Pakistani celebrities welcomed the government's announcement to release royalties for deserving musicians and actors.

In case if the readers are not aware, before her departure along with the coalition govt former Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb had announced royalties for deserving Pakistani actors and musicians during the award ceremony of National Icon Awards 2023 which had been conducted at the grand stage of Pakistan Television (PTV).

The glittering award affair had been held on Sunday 13 August 13, in order to celebrate and recognize the admiring contributions of the people belonging to the entertainment industry.

The event has been hosted by renowned morning show host Juggun Kazim and prominent TV actor Sami Khan.

Established showbiz figures, including Wahaj Ali, Humayun Saeed, Mawra Hocane, and Iffat Omar, Meera Ji, Bushra Ansari, HUM TV owner Sultana Siddiqui and some other senior TV personalities has graced the event with their wonderful presence.

Notably, former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Governor Punjab Muhammad Balighur Rehman and the former Federal Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb also made attendance during the event.

Marriyum Aurangzeb came to the stage and announced that former govt has approved royalties for artists and musicians.

She also announced some favorable policies for the entertainment industry.

The celebrities received well-deserved accolades and expressed gratitude over the great initiative of the govt.
