An Army soldier and a citizen were martyred in a suicide bomb blast in North Waziristan District, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to a statement released by the military’s media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday morning, the suicide bomber struck in general area Miranshah in North Waziristan District on December 14 (Wednesday).

As a result of the terrorist attack, the ISPR said, Havaldar Muhammad Ameer (age 30 years, a resident of Mianwali) embraced shahadat (martyrdom).

Moreover, one innocent civilian also embraced shahadat, while nine other innocent civilians were injured in the incident.

PM Shehbaz vows to tech terrorists a lesson

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the suicide blast in Miranshah district of North Waziristan and expressed his grief and condolences to the families of Havaldar Muhammad Amir and the civilian.

Reacting to the suicide attack in North Waziristan, the prime minister said that those who carry out suicide attacks on Muslims cannot be Muslims.

Shehbaz said terrorists are the weapon of enemies who want to destabilize Pakistan. “Every drop of blood of Pakistani people will be counted. The criminals will be taught a lesson,” he added.

Shehbaz said that the people of Pakistan and the security forces have made great sacrifices to eliminate terrorism. “We salute the martyrs, those who laid down their lives for the beloved country,” he added.

The prime minister prayed for patience, and for the martyrs and their families.

Earlier, this month five terrorists were killed and a soldier was martyred during an operation Jhallar Algad area of North Waziristan District on December 5. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorists.

During the operation, the ISPR had said, 25-year-old Sepoy Nasir Khan embraced martyrdom while fighting gallantly against the terrorists.
On December 4, a terrorist commander named Muhammad Noor was killed during an intense exchange of fire with troops in the Shewa area of North Waziristan district.
