A young cab driver committed suicide by jumping into sea near Do Darya Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

According to rescue officials, 27-year-old Tahir Mehmood apparently committed suicide.

However, the search operation for Tahir Mehmood was going on till filing this report.

Drowning Tahir Mahmood's car is on the beach, rescue officials said.

Tahir Mahmudshah was resident of Faisal Colony, said rescue officials.

Tahir Mehmood’s father Mehmood said that he used to drive taxi online and had two marriages.

He said that Tahir had 2 daughters and one daughter has passed away.

He said his daughter-in-law called him late at night and informed that Tahir is on the sea view and made a video call while going to the sea.

Due to the darkness of the night, the rescue operation was started in the morning.
