PTI leader Faisal Vawda has challenged his disqualification decision by the Election Commission of Pakistan in the Islamabad High Court, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The ex-senator and ex-MNA who was disqualified by the ECP on Feb 9 on account of concealing his dual nationality at the time of filing his nomination papers in 2018 knocked at the door of Islamabad High Court beseeching it to declare the ECP decision null and void.
The petition says the ECP is not a court of law, adding that the decision does not have any locus standi.
The ex-senator on Monday completed his consultation with his legal team regarding submitting of the petition to the IHC. He also requested the ECP to provide him with the signed copy of its decision so that he could file his petition in a court of law.
