Tesla EV app crashes all over Europe, users frustrated

Tesla app crashes across Europe leaving frustrated drivers fearing they might not be able to open their cars without a keycard. Some say that the outage has been going on for six hours so far without respite. Some drivers say they cannot connect to their Powerwall home battery system

Tesla drivers suffered as their mobile phone app kept crashing all across Europe. Drivers of the cars made by the twitter CEO Elon Musk claimed that the app shows '503 Server Maintenance' when they use it. It is understood that users in China are unaffected because the system is based elsewhere.

Some drivers say they cannot connect to their Powerwall home battery charging system.

One said that “Tesla app been down 6hrs now. UK. Some communication would be nice.” Another one feared he would not be able to gain access to his motor vehicle without the power of the app. He said 'Same in Switzerland better be back in the next 4 hours or I can’t open my car left my keycard at home.” But Mehdi Moha set him straight and gave him the wonderful news: 'But you can still open it with phone, worked for me.” Overjoyed, he said “Okay yeah it opens phew.” It comes just a month and a half after the AA said charging point demand for Tesla and other electric cars were not being met by the government. Chaos engulfed the network in December last year and saw South Mimms Services hit again with Tesla owners forced to queue up. Jack Cousens, head of roads policy at AA, told MailOnline: ‘The growth in electric car sales is great news, but the speed of which publicly available chargers are being installed is not quite keeping pace with the new demand being generated.
