Fawad Chaudhry does it again, slaps PTI leader Shoaib Shaheen

Former PTI federal minister Fawad Chaudhry did it again, slapping PTI leader Barrister Shoaib Shaheen outside Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi on Saturday, but later they agreed to bury the hatchet and reconciled, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Both Fawad and Shoaib exchanged hot words at the prison gate which sparked into a scuffle between them and they Fawad Chaudhry delivered a hard slap on the face of Shoaib Shaheen who fell on the ground.

According to 24News TV channel, as soon as Fawad Chaudhry entered the Adiala Jail gate number 5 he loudly leballed Shoaib Shaheen a “tout”, and to further rub into wounds he said “He (Shoaib) used to sell himself for just Rs5,000 and was responsible for all the fissures in the PTI.”

Shoaib Shaheen did not respond to Fawad’s tirade but the very moment the former minister turned out, held Shoaib from top of shirt and slapped him on the face.

Shoaib Shaheen fell on the ground and Fawad Chaudhry’s wife Haba intervened and forced her husband away.

PTI leader Nadia Khattak who was present on the occasion and witnessed the while episode said “Fawad Chaudhry should not have done that. What he has done physically was very bad. Fawad hit Shoaib and he fell on the ground and injured his hand.”

Nadia Khattak further maintained “If you have differences with someone try to handle them verbally. Thanks God Shoaib Shaheen has no broken bone.

Later talking to newsmen, Fawad Chaudhry said in a TV programme Shoaib Shaheen said PTI founder Imran Khan has branded Fawad a “deserter”, but when he verified this from Imran Khan himself the former prime minister said he never called him (Fawad) a “deserter”.

“I told Shoaib Shaheen not to tell lies on behalf of PTI founder,” Fawad said and added “Now we have reconciled on the orders of Imran Khan and the issue has resolved.”

This was not the first time that Fawad Chaudhry has lost his cool and hit someone.

In January 2020, Fawad, then Federal Minister of Science and Technology in the PTI government, had “slapped” television journalist and anchorperson Mubasher Lucman at a wedding reception causing social media uproar.

The slap that Fawad Chaudhry defended, followed an exchange of heated words between the two at the wedding reception of federal minister Mohsin Laghari’s son in Lahore.

The PTI members present on the occasion broke the scuffle which began when Lucman made allegations about Chaudhry’s possible involvement in TikTok star Hareem Shah scandal.

Shah has levelled repeated allegations against PTI politicians over the past few weeks and also posted leaked video and photographs of what might be dubbed as questionable behaviour by some of the PTI’s senior members.

Shoaib Shaheen hits back

PTI leader Barrister Shoaib Shaheen has said that Fawad Chaudhry is a “tout” of the establishment and has no connection with their party.

Talking to media, Shoaib Shaheen said Fawad Chaudhry has no respect in the society and he has been given a more than what he deserved.

“Fawad Chaudhry came with a plan to attack me and for this I will not take any legal action against him but I will respond,” Shoaib Shaheen said.

He further said that Fawad Chaudhry is trying to create cracks in the PTI. “I did not reach any agreement with Fawad Chaudhry,” Shoaib clarified.

He said “I met with the PTI founder today and he has strongly condemned Fawad Chaudhry's actions.”

Shoaib Shaheen further said that there is an undeclared martial law in Pakistan and the justice system has ended in Pakistan.

He said that after the 26th Constitutional Amendment people's hopes have crashed and disappointment is spreading among them.
