First Bangladeshi students' batch arrive under Knowledge Corridor initiative
Students to enrol in leading Pakistani universities for higher education: Programme aims to boost educational cooperation and bilateral ties
The first batch of Bangladeshi students has arrived in Pakistan under the newly launched Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor initiative, marking a significant step towards strengthening academic cooperation between the two countries.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the students have been awarded the Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarships and will pursue higher education at leading Pakistani universities under the programme.
Officials from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and representatives of host institutions received the students at the airport, welcoming them as part of the inaugural cohort of the initiative.
The Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor aims to enhance educational collaboration and deepen people-to-people ties between Islamabad and Dhaka through academic exchanges and scholarship opportunities.
Authorities confirmed that the selection process for the next batch of students will commence shortly.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Higher Education Commission extended their best wishes to the students, expressing hope that the programme would contribute to their academic success and foster long-term bilateral understanding.
