The Provincial Election Commission in Sindh has ordered expulsion of PTI MPA Firdous Shamim Naqvi from a polling station after he was found breaking seals of ballot boxes, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The Election Commission took action after a video clip was shown on electronic media wherein Shamim Naqvi is breaking the seals of ballot boxes in at a polling station in UC2 Tehsil Municipal Committee Jinnah in Karachi.

Taking notice of the video clip, the Commission ordered to expel Shamim Naqvi from the polling station, declaring his action as illegal and violation of code of conduct.
There were more reports of mismanagement from several polling stations during the second phase of the LG elections in Sindh.
The voters faced problems including being sent back after block code and booth number were wrongly registered at a polling station in UC6 in District Kemari of Karachi.
The polling staff at a polling station in UC8 Ward 3 could not arrive at time to start the voting process. This infuriated the citizens who staged a protest against this slackness on the part of the election commission staff.
The polling could also not start at time at a polling station in a government school in Dadu and there no arrangements made for the voting process.
Lock replaces Arrow in Jamshoro
The polling process stopped at Jamshoro’s Union Council Siri after wrong election symbols of candidates were printed on the ballot papers.
PPP candidate from Ward 3 Ghulam Ali Khairu was allotted election symbol of lock while Jamshoro Ittehad’v candidate Muhammad Salim Palari was allotted PPP’s election symbol of arrow.
According to the DRO, the voting process at US Siri has been halted while polling on another ward has been deferred.
