A court in Lahore on Wednesday ordered the police to initiate an inquiry against Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah and all those police officials who, according to PTI leader Dr. Yasmeen Rashid, were involved in her torture and take action against those found responsible in inquiry as per the law, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Giving its verdict on Dr. Yasmeen’s petition for the registration of a case against Sanaullah and police officials, Additional Sessions Judge Rashid Anjum also asked the petitioner to contact the CCPO for the redressal of her complaint.
The PTI leader, in her petition, had prayed to the court to order the registration of a case against the interior minister and some senior police officials on whose orders she was manhandled and her car was damaged at Shafeeqabad locality of Lahore on May 25, 2022, the day the PTI workers and leaders had started their march towards Islamabad.
