Talal Chaudhry lauds Pakistan's diplomacy, says economic relief will reach people

Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry on Monday praised Pakistan's recent diplomatic achievements, saying the country's global standing had strengthened and that the benefits of economic improvement would soon be felt by the public.

In a media interview, Talal said Pakistan had gained respect and dignity at the international level and credited the country's leadership for what he described as successful diplomatic engagement.

"Such successful diplomacy has never been seen before in Pakistan's 78-year history," he said.

The minister attributed recent developments to cooperation between the civilian leadership and state institutions, saying the partnership between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the military leadership was producing positive results for the country.

He said harmony between the government and state institutions had helped improve Pakistan's international image and created opportunities for progress on diplomatic and economic fronts.

Talal expressed confidence that improvements in the economy would translate into relief for ordinary citizens, adding that the impact of lower energy prices and easing inflation would become increasingly visible in the coming months and years.

He said regional stability would contribute to greater trade and economic activity and stressed the importance of cooperation between the federation and provinces to maximize development gains.

"If all provinces work together with the federation, the fruits of development will increase further," he said.

Referring to national security issues, the minister said Pakistan would continue to defend its sovereignty and respond firmly to any aggression. He pointed to Pakistan's response during tensions with India in May as an example of the country's resolve.

Talal said Pakistan was playing the role of a responsible state by supporting peace efforts and regional stability, adding that the country's diplomatic initiatives had contributed to recent peace agreements and efforts to reduce tensions.

He also raised concerns about militant groups operating from Afghanistan, describing them as a threat to both regional and global security. Pakistan's counterterrorism efforts, he said, served not only national interests but also broader international security objectives.

The minister accused India of engaging in activities aimed at destabilizing Pakistan and alleged that New Delhi was using Afghan territory for proxy operations against Islamabad.

Talal further claimed that Pakistan's international reputation had been strengthened through coordinated efforts by state institutions and expressed optimism that the country's economic and diplomatic gains would continue in the future.

He said the government remained focused on ensuring that the benefits of economic recovery reached the people and contributed to long-term prosperity and stability.
