President Alvi terms police action against Imran ‘revenge politics’

President Arif Alvi could not hold him back as he came out in open to support PTI Chairman Imran Khan as the police fought pitched battles with PTI workers in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
In a tweet, President Alvi termed the police action who went to Zaman Park to deliver court orders as unnecessary and revenge politics.
The president said “I am deeply saddened by these events. Unhealthy revenge politics. Poor priorities of govt of a country that should focus on economic misery of the people. Are we destroying political landscape? Am concerned about safety & dignity of Imran Khan like that of all politicians.”
