FIA Anti-corruption Islamabad circle arrested three suspects who were involved in provision of Pakistani forged identity cards and passports to Afghan nationals, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
The suspects were apprehended from Attock following the identification of one of the arrested individuals, Dost Muhammad. It was revealed that the accused used to illegally make Pakistani identity cards and passports for Afghan citizens with the help of government officials.
The illicit operation enabled Afghan citizens to obtain falsified Pakistani documents, circumventing legal procedures and posing potential threats to national security and integrity.
The FIA's swift action underscores the government's unwavering commitment to combatting corruption and upholding the rule of law.
They will be presented in court for taking their physical remand on Saturday.
