Two people were injured after an incident of firing near a mosque in Sector 4 of the Airport Housing Society, Rawalpindi on Friday led to a stampede, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.   

According to the eyewitnesses, there was an exchange of fire between two groups. However, reason for the firing could not be ascertained.

The incident created panic in the area, forcing the residents to confine themselves to their homes.

And despite the fact that the police were intimated several times, the Force did not reach site of the incident.
