Two Coast Guards martyred in attack on check post in Gwadar’s Jiwani

Unknown armed men opened fire on a Coast Guards check post in the Panwan area of Jiwani in Gwadar district, leaving two personnel martyred and another injured, police said.

According to District Police Officer (DPO) Gwadar Atta-ur-Rehman Tareen, the attackers targeted the check post with gunfire, resulting in the deaths of Naik Saleem and Sepoy Adnan.

Sepoy Azeem sustained injuries in the firing and was shifted for medical treatment, the DPO said.

Police and other law enforcement agencies rushed to the site after receiving information about the incident.

Security forces later cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace the attackers, officials added.
