Family of revenue officer’s slain servant ends sit-in following assurances

The people protesting against the killing of a servant of a revenue officer at the latter’s home in Hyderabad ended their sit-in on Friday as talks between Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Kashif Shoro and SP headquarters Anil Haider with them remained successful, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The body of Usman Soomro, servant of Majid Khaskheli, revenue officer of Qasimabad area of Hyderabad, was shifted to hospital.
Earlier on Friday, relatives of Usman, whose bullet-riddled body was found at Khaskheli’s home, lost their temper and attacked the revenue officer’s home.
The video footage, obtained by 24News, shows the relatives as well other enraged people beating Khaskheli and policemen with sticks.
The beating resulted in injuries to three people, including the cop.
While the revenue officer Majid Khaskheli was shifted to a hospital in Karachi in a critical condition, the family members of Usman blocked traffic on Hyderabad bypass by holding a sit-in.
Police said a rifle was also found lying beside the body of Usman.
It further said that as per initial investigation, the incident appeared to be of ‘suicide’.
