A video has surfaced of Shafiqabad police station officials in Lahore taking bribes from drug dealers.

According to details, a video of ASI Idris of Shafiqabad police station and SHO's car special constable Owais Khan taking bribe has come to light.

Both officers arrested the accused on charges of drug trafficking. The accused was also tortured for not paying bribe. A bribe of Rs 130,000 was received from drug dealers

In the footage that has come to light, the ASI can be seen counting the bribe money.

Earlier in February this year, a court in Lahore had awarded a seven-year jail and slapped Rs200,000 fine on a police officer for receiving bribe.

Senior Special Judge Anti-Corruption Sohaib Ahmad announced the sentence against Sargodha Police’s ASI Riaz Ahmad for accepting Rs50,000 bribe.
