Town, Jamaat-e-Islami clean sweeps in Liaquatabad Town and Gulberg

♦ JI warns of protests over delayed poll results
♦ According to unofficial results of Hyderabad, the PTI grabbed 23 seats, PPP bagged 22 and the JI won only one seat. However, the PPP candidates have already been elected unopposed on 31 seats enabling the party to grab 53 seats in total. 

As per the unofficial results, 19 chairmen of the PPP have been elected while the party has claimed securing 100 seats. Seeing the unofficial results, it seems obvious that the PPP could bring its mayor in Hyderabad. 

♦ The PPP clinched victory in the second phase of the local bodies’ elections in most of the cities in interior Sindh including Dadu and Thattha. According to the unofficial results, the PPP won 12 out of 14 seats of Badin Municipal Committee.

♦ PTI's candidate for Karachi mayorship defeated: Khurram Sher Zaman has been defeated by PPP's candidate Najmi Alam who got 1700 votes from UC-11 Sadar Town Karachi
♦ Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman claimed victory on 100 seats in Sindh local body election. He said the people of Karachi supported Jamaat-e-Islami, alleging that conspiracies are being hatched to eliminate the majority. ROs (Returning Officers) are not announcing the results, adding that that attempts were being made to “manipulate” them.
