‘Party of terrorists’ should not have an election symbol, says Maryam Nawaz

Referring to the PTI, PML-N Senior Vice President and the party’s chief organizer Maryam Nawaz said on Monday that a ‘party of terrorists’ should not get an election symbol, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a rally in Okara, Maryam said that the PTI should have that watch as its symbol which its Chairman Imran Khan had sold while he was the country’s prime minister.

Or, she went on to say, PTI’s symbol should be a petrol bomb.

She further said she was ecstatic to see such a large of people who had come to listen to her speech today. She said when she had left her home in Lahore in the morning she was not expecting such a huge crowd. “But today, people of the city, by turning up in such large numbers, have shown their loyalty towards the former prime minister and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif,” she added.

Referring to the PTI leaders, Maryam said that it was not Nawaz who was taking revenge on them. “It is The Almighty Allah who is making them pay the price for their wrongdoings,” she opined.

She said that while the PML-N supremo had left the PM House with dignity, the PTI chairman was kicked out of the office.

Claiming that Imran banked on facilitation by the state institutions, PML-N vice president said gone were the days when the PTI enjoyed the state institutions’ patronage. “All those people in the establishment are gone.”

Maryam said that those who held their opponents accountable when they were in power got panicked when they were asked about their ‘corruption scandals’.

Now, she added, PTI leaders were afraid that they would get caught. “The more cruel you are, the more coward you are,” she opined, adding, “The Almighty Allah does not forgive cruel people.”

PML-N chief organizer urged people to vote for the party in large numbers so that it could get two-third majority in parliament. “The more you vote for us, the more facilities you will get.”

She went on to say that petrol, gas and electricity were cheaper when last time Nawaz was in power.

She was of the view that Nawaz’s disqualification in the Panama leaks case did not only mean his ouster from power. “But it also meant that a poor man was deprived of bread at affordable rates.”

Maryam opined that a patriotic person would vote only for Nawaz, and nobody else.
