PM directs ministers to ensure attendance in Parliament during budget session

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed federal ministers to ensure their presence in Parliament and actively participate in proceedings of both houses until the passage of the federal budget.

According to sources, the prime minister instructed ministers to conduct official ministerial business from their offices in Parliament during the ongoing budget session to ensure their availability for parliamentary proceedings and discussions.

The directive was conveyed to federal ministers by Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, who communicated the prime minister's message during consultations with cabinet members.

Sources said ministers have been asked to attend sittings of both the National Assembly and the Senate regularly and remain available throughout the budget process.

The chief whip of the ruling party has also urged federal ministers to maintain a strong presence in Parliament to facilitate legislative business and respond to matters raised by lawmakers during budget debates.

According to the instructions, ministers will remain present in Parliament during sessions until the federal budget is approved and all related legislative requirements are completed.

The move comes as both houses of Parliament continue discussions on the federal budget, with lawmakers debating the government's fiscal proposals and policy measures for the upcoming financial year.
